My Approach to Helping
I work with individuals, families and couples in reducing conflict/ stress, increasing communication, improving significant relationships, increasing self esteem, lowering anxiety or depression and generally living happier and fuller lives. My approach is to view the individual as being part of a Context of Relationships (father, wife, child, brother, friend, etc.). In my experience, I have found that not only does the individual grow, but their families and relationships grow without ever having attended treatment! Therapy is a courageous act and often extends past a crisis. However, it can be a tremendously rewarding journey, possibly sparing a person from years or even decades of significant anguish, pain, fear, guilt and worry. I consider it a privilege to walk through this journey with you. I have worked extensively with people who are on the brink of life (e.g. suicide, schizophrenia, drug addictions etc.) to those who are struggling with less severe issues such as self- esteem. It has been tremendously rewarding to see people grow, be more in control of their lives and become much happier. My hope is that you will see the same happen in your life!
