My Approach to Therapy

Hello. I'm a trauma and compassion-focused licensed therapist, working remotely in California. Many of my clients are helpers: healthcare professionals, first responders, veterans, and caregivers who have been deeply impacted by what they’ve seen and carried. They feel disconnected from themselves and others, on edge, or just can't stop thinking about what they've been through. Others come to me after a medical crisis, ICU stay, or health-related trauma that has changed how they see themselves and the world. As a former ICU Social Worker with 14 years of experience, and over 20 years in the mental health field, I offer a steady, trauma-informed space where you don’t have to explain the intensity of what you’ve been through. Using evidence-based approaches, we’ll work together to help you process these experiences, reconnect with yourself, and find peace. You don't have to keep doing this alone! Let's talk!

My Practice & Services

I also write a blog for people looking for support from high stress occupations (health care professionals, first responders, military, caregivers). It's entitled "Thriving with AGS" (my initials) and can be found on my website at the link above.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Before becoming a therapist in private practice, I spent 14 years as a Medical Social Worker in a hospital ICU. I've sat with patients in their hardest moments, supported families through unimaginable grief, and watched my colleagues carry burdens they rarely talked about. I left that work because I wanted to help people heal from it ? the burnout, the trauma, the weight of caring for others while quietly struggling yourself.
