Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

As a mental health educator and a psychotherapist I offer an informative and active approach in therapy. I'm skilled in working with individuals or couples where one or both member(s) of the couple is a survivor of abuse. I also enjoy working with situational life stressors (relocation, life transitions, acculturation, and grief and loss issues). In couples therapy I help couples work through the problems that seem unsolvable. Couples report a stronger sense of connection, laughter, and intimacy.

In my work with individuals, I work with emotional issues such as anxiety, depression and relational issues such as difficulties with interpersonal relationships.

In my work with trauma, I work with recent traumatic events (car accident, injury, job loss, sexual assault) and trauma that has a historical context (childhood sexual abuse, violence, and family of origin).

The primary modality I work with is EMDR and solution focused therapy.
