Welcome, and thanks for viewing my page! I have been a therapist since 2013. I specialize in childhood issues, including anxiety, ADHD, behavioral, and mood disorders. I also assist parents to provide children with the right tools within the home. Parents play a key role in the therapy process, and their active participation augments their children's success.
I also counsel couples to manage relationship discord, working to create an honest and open communication style. Better communication can yield a more successful relationship.
I am passionate about helping veterans and their families manage PTSD and the adjustment to civilian life. I can treat mood disorders, as well as situational disruptions. I look forward to accompanying you on your journey.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
What I love about being a therapist is assisting my clients throughout their challenges and being an intricate part of their process and progress. Watching and participating with them through their journey is fulfilling. Being the one person they can speak freely with, without judgement or bias and with great confidence and trust, when at times they felt they have no one to confide in. Being present, actively listening, and emotionally supporting my clients is what I love most about being a therapist because I feel that is the most important part of therapy, the trusting relationship between the therapist and client.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
People seek therapy for a variety of reasons, none of which implies that a person is flawed, weak, or even \"crazy\". It is sad that still in today\'s world, seeking help for one\'s life challenges holds such a negative stigma. However, at times throughout our lives we seek assistance for a variety of reasons and therapy should be no different. Whether it be for situational reasons (adjustments, life changes, interpersonal/relationship issues, indecisiveness) or mental health related issues (depression, anxiety, OCDs, behavioral problems, self-perception issues, PTSD) the point is that you want a better life than the one you are living, and for that reason one is not flawed nor weak. It shows you are strong because you are willing to address whatever challenges you are experiencing to move forward toward a more fulfilled life.
