It is my belief that, at any given moment, we all do the very best that we can. It is with this thought in mind, along with compassionate listening and active questioning that I can assist you to find answers to your problems. I also believe that each person's experiences are unique to themselves, and that there isn't just one way to help someone find a good balance of mental health. What may be helpful for one individual, couple or family, may not necessarily be helpful to you.

I can help by working closely with you to create an individualized treatment plan that is specifically tailored to fit your needs. In this plan, we discuss goals, objectives and interventions that can be used to create a more stable, healthy and satisfying life. In that way, you can have a better understanding of the healing process and the path that we'll walk together.

More Info About My Practice

I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I am also a credentialed California teacher. I have worked with adolescents, children, and families for over 20 years, with nearly half of those years as a psychotherapist. I enjoy working with teens, families, individuals, and couples to help them excel in life.

My approach is eclectic and compassionate. One size does not fit all with psychotherapy, and I tailor treatment to the needs of each client. I offer a range of therapeutic interventions that draw from Attachment and Family Systems Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic and Existential Therapy, and Mindfulness interventions. I also consider the role that social, multicultural, and physiological factors play in mental health and well-being. I work to provide each client with useful tools and helpful skills that promote positive change, and for that change to continue long after therapy ends.

In our first session, you can expect that we will discuss office policies, confidentiality, your rights, and your treatment goals. We will also begin to explore and address the issues that brought you to my office.
