My Approach to Helping
Welcome! I’m so glad you are here. I imagine it’s because you feel stuck, lonely, and unsure of how to resolve conflict or share vulnerable feelings with your partner. Or maybe you do share your feelings and it is quickly met with anger, misunderstanding, or they just completely shut down. The good news is that you are in the right place to find relief for your relationship.
I want you to know that I know what it’s like to be on the other side of the couch. I know how lonely it feels to be so disconnected from your partner, and the exhaustion of experiencing the same fight over and over. What if you could communicate your needs in a way that created connection rather than further distanced you?
My therapeutic approach and style is to always show up as myself, inside or outside the therapy room. I tell you what I’m thinking, seeing, and feeling. I’m committed to thinking and learning in and out of session to be able to help you in your unique experience of life & relationships. You will know that I care about you! I truly enjoy getting to know you and your story. I believe I have the best job in the world as I get to witness and connect with other humans as they share and experience their vulnerability.
I am incredibly passionate about couples work and helping people foster secure relationships. We form patterns of communicating and ways of being at an early age. These patterns can be complicated to change, especially alone. These ways of relating keep us stuck in loops that feel like the same fight over and over again, resulting in the same disconnection & feelings of stuckness, shame, and unworthiness. Whether you are looking to reconnect with your partner, transform your relationship, or peacefully disconnect from each other, I can help.
