My Approach to Helping
Welcome! Thank you for being here. I'm so excited to get to know you and your nervous system. As a trauma & somatic therapist, I help women heal unresolved trauma, increase self-esteem, confidence, set healthy boundaries and ultimately live an intentional life outside of survival mode all through a somatic lens. The women that come see are those who are all "talked out", are experiencing ongoing physical symptoms such as gut health issues, chronic migraines, TMJ, muscle tension, burning sensations, heart conditions, shooting pains, etc.; experience anxiety, hypervigilance, dissociation, andor feel "stuck" in their healing journey.
I work well with women who have experienced sexual trauma, relational trauma, childhood trauma as well isolated traumatic events (i.e., car accident or injury). Even if you don't remember your trauma, you can still heal from it through Somatic Experiencing. I work directly with your nervous system to help you feel more connected, at peace, and empowered.
I aim to create a safe environment in our sessions through a warm, compassionate, and direct approach. As much as I love challenging clients and taking the work seriously, I also enjoy using humor whenever appropriate. One of my favorite things to do with my clients is connect through laughter!
