My Approach to Helping

I believe we all have the capacity to change and overcome difficult things. I believe that we have many parts to ourselves; parts of ourselves that we love, parts of ourselves we don't like; parts that help manage our lives and get things done, and parts that sometime get in the way leaving us wondering, "that's not me, why did I act that way"? I believe that we don't have control over our environment (living proof, our current pandemic) or how others behave, but we do have control over how we respond. I believe that everyone has a desire to be connected with others and that our life depends on it. Many of my clients desire the following - to feel more in control, less overwhelmed, OR just feel something positive. To know themselves better, how their past has impacts them, and let go of stuff that leaves them feeling stuck. Their hope is to feel connected and have deeper relationships with others. They want to look in the mirror and be happy with who they are – inside and out!

More Info About My Practice

I am down-to-earth, transparent, compassionate and have a great sense of humor. Check out my website (susanmunn.com) to learn more. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, all sessions are held online (Doxy.me or Zoom). Telehealth really does work and has been just as effective as in office - try it!

My Therapy Focus

I help people process past trauma, develop self-awareness, become compassionate towards self and others, and become unstuck from issues they've been struggling with through Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (parts work), Mindfulness, and CBT.
