My Approach to Therapy
Are you feeling stuck in your life? Burned out or unhappy in your work or relationships? Are you in pain or crisis or feeling that you are not living as joyfully or fully as you wish? I can help.
I specialize in helping peoplecouples through difficult challenges, transitions and out of crisis. One of my gifts as a therapist is an ability to quickly understand what is troubling you, to spot stumbling blocks and repeated patterns that are not working in your life.
With my help, you will move toward more peace, joy, and success.
I have a passion for my work because it works. I see lives reclaimed, relationships healed, & clients headed in good new directions.
I use a variety of modes of therapy. One process that has helped many and brought extraordinary results is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR, as it is called, is a powerful approach that allows us to tap into thoughts and beliefs that are causing disruption in our lives, reprocess them and free us from their negative effects.
My practice offers different levels of engagement, as the needs of my clients vary.
Together we decide on: Basic support (4 sessions) Intermediate support (7 sessions) or Advanced support (10 sessions). In addition, psychotherapy group work is available.

I offer three powerful group programs for my clients:
Reclaiming Yourself- this group helps to identify and clear the false limiting beliefs that create unhealthy reactionspatterns in our lives and relationships.
Remedy; for physician burnout- rekindling the meaning and purpose of the practice of medicine
Moving through Divorce-supporting individuals and couples through the various stages of divorce.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process
Sometimes we get out of alignment with ourselves and the results in our lives are not what we want. Being helped by a therapist whom you can trust, who will not judge you, who will help you see your blind spots, and most likely has crossed much of the same terrain, can bring relief, understanding, insight, hope and growth. You don't need to continue to struggle alone, and you will not always feel this way. Therapy is a gift.
What Makes up a Problem?
A problem can be a wake up call to new ways of thinking, change and growth and ultimately more happiness.
Often we have limited our definition of ourselves by what we experienced or what we were told early in life. This is only a small portion of who we are or are meant to become but can result in false limiting beliefs and repeated patterns that continue to cause pain and suffering. These can show up in our relationships, work place, health or finances. Understanding and changing these limiting and often false beliefs can be crucial steps toward living an authentic, joyful life.
