My Approach to Helping

I think one of the reasons I have had so much success in areas where others have failed, is that I don’t make any assumptions about my patients. I recognize that each person presents with a unique history and with a pattern of behaviors that, though part of a symptom complex, are never exactly the same.

I began my career as a Neuropsychologist and Family Therapist. As a neuropsychologist, I specialize in the treatment of ADD, ADHD, and specific learning disabilities. As a family therapist, I treat children, adolescents, parents, and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, personality disturbances, and a plethora of relationship issues.

Over the past 15 years, I have also cultivated an interest in wellness. I have researched the topic extensively, writing no less than 11 books on the topic. The first book Below the Radar – What You Don’t Know About Your Food – Bloomsbury Publishing was released in June 2023.

The topics covered by the remaining books include GMOs, Cholesterol, Leaky Gut, Sugar and its Lethal Impact, Food Addiction, US Obesity and How It Aging Us, The Benefits of Sunshine, and American Children: An Endangered Species.

I began my practice in 1985 after completing my residency in clinical psychology at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a neuropsychologist and family systems practitioner, I use a bio-psycho-social model of treatment. I offer psychological assessment, individual, family, and couples’ therapy, and wellness coaching for those wishing to reverse the aging process andor manage their weight. I also offer coaching for food addiction which is currently below the radar in our society and as a result, has become an epidemic with disastrous consequences.

So if you or a loved one are suffering from problems with your health, relationships, academic or professional development, or if you are experiencing anxiety, depression or emotional distress contact me. Or if you just wish to be healthier and in the process reverse the aging process get in touch. I walk the talk and I can help.

I see patients at my home office. My patients love it. It is very private and comfortable. For those who cannot eat on their own, it offers an opportunity to share a meal without the pressure which that usually entails. For many, it has been a lifesaving experience!
