My Approach to Helping

Hello! I am a Portlander and a therapist and love to provide psychotherapy in my downtown office. I believe in creating a safe therapeutic environment where we work together to understand your current issues, your past experiences, and your way of thinking and feeling. This understanding will help us to find ways to overcome challenges that you are facing. We will work at your own pace to give you the opportunity to explore your unique qualities and circumstances in order for you to feel emotionally healthier. All feelings are welcome in therapy-- even the scary and unpleasant ones, related to relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, sexual issues, trauma, and life changes and adjustment. When I listen I stay attuned to your unique personal qualities. In addition, my bi-lingual and bi-cultural background allows me to understand diverse groups of people. Finally, I use my professional background in nursing to incorporate knowledge about medical illness or disability to provide a holistic approach.

More Info About My Practice

My regular session fee is $150. I offer sliding scale fees based on financial need. I accept out-of-pocket payments and can provide documentation to qualify for out-of-network provider benefits from your insurance. For your convenience, I accept cash or check, as well as HSA and credit cards for payment.
