My Approach to Helping
As a therapist, my goal is to work with clients to develop goals and objectives which will help them to achieve stability through warm, accepting, non-judgmental, goal-oriented therapeutic sessions. The methods used are very eclectic and inclusive considering the client’s comfort and orientation. Methods incorporated (but not limited to) are CBT, behavioral therapy, family therapy, solution-based brief therapy, multimodal therapy, relationship counseling.
Anxiety, anger management, emotional management, adolescent behavior issues, children’s behavior concerns, relationship concerns, family dynamics, parenting, parenting for parents of children with special needs, working with children with ASD, ADHD, ADD, other behavioral needs. Trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, other psychological disorders in all ages.
A strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is very important to bring a positive outcome. By working together with the client is how I as a therapist can help empower my client to overcome not only the difficult situations that are presented at the time in meeting the present needs, but also provide tools to help with the future, using coping skills.
