My Approach to Helping
I have a very client-centered and integrative therapeutic style. In therapy, every client is approached as an unique individual requiring a personalized modality of care. We work together and actively collaborate with other resources, as needed, to best develop a treatment plan that fits your lifestyle and needs.
I actively use strengths-based techniques when working with clients, and include cognitive-based theory, mindfulness techniques, systems theory, and grieving models to help clients explore techniques that work best for their individual circumstances. I am always focusing on learning new methods for helping my clients meet their goals. Currently, I am in training for sex therapy and education at the University of Michigan, and I am going through training as a Kundalini Yoga teacher to assist clients in learning breathwork and lifestyle changes that can aid them in their daily life. We all play a part in each others successes and failures, and my goal is to play on the side of your success.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Sex therapy is one of my specializations. Sex therapy is a very broad viewpoint of therapy, but here are some of the topics discussed: infidelity, anorgasmia, vagninismus, ejaculation disorder, orientation issues, arousal disorder, desire disorder, trauma, among many other topics.
Mood disorders, grief, life coaching, and adjustment disorders are other areas I am highly skilled in treating.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love helping people see a better version of themselves. I am passionate about people learning to be the best person they can be without any judgement or shame. I enjoy creating a space for individuals, couples, and families to be free.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
Therapy is not a one-size fits all process. Research different therapist, and see who appears to be the best fit for you. One of the key processes to treatment is feeling safe and free to express yourself. Credentials and trainings are important, but your ability to feel comfortable in your therapeutic process and ready to change is most important.
