Welcome to my profile. I appreciate that you're doing your research on therapists in your area to find someone you're more likely to easily relate to.

People who decide to work with me, after experiencing a traumatic event, or while emerging out of a toxic relationship, want the past to stop controlling the present...to rediscover who they are in this world...to connect safely...to love, thrive, and feel free. Many have tried therapy before and are looking for something a bit different.

Classically trained as an artist before studying counseling psychology, I tend to look for symbolic meaning, both personal and universal, as well as connections between what was, what is, and what is sought after. Noticing themes in stories told, and expressions in movements, I assist with increasing awareness to inform, empower, and transform lives.

Understanding that there are many subtle and unique ways that people integrate, communicate, and process their experience, my practice provides options to customize therapy, at an individualized pace. Utilizing expressive arts with other evidenced-based techniques can help make approaching difficult topics much more tolerable, reducing emotional discomfort, sparking curiosity, and stimulating new insights and behaviors in children, teens, and adults.

I wish you the very best. Take care.
