My Approach to Helping
I\'ve been called a natural “people person” with a knack for making others smile. As far as client personalities go, I tend to do well with them all! I know how to balance warmth with “keeping it real” to help people feel comfortable but still challenged. I believe in the power of positive self-talk and am committed to helping my clients create a life they think is actually worth living. I specialize in treating substance abuse and addiction, anxiety, depression, codependency, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, and trauma.
I received my Master\'s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from MTSU in 2016 and my undergraduate degree from Austin Peay State University in 2011. I have several years of experience working in mental and behavioral health treatment with a variety of ages including children, adolescents, and adults. Most recently, I have served as a Primary Therapist in a professional women’s residential program specializing in recovery from substance abuse and mood disorders.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, singing, watching movies, and spending time with the people she loves. I also enjoy an occasional Netflix binge.
