My Approach to Helping
Does the idea of sitting across from a stranger and telling them your innermost thoughts sound like the worst thing ever? Do you sometimes need to explain yourself by using images, or moving as you think?
I start from a place of unconditional positive regard and will learn to communicate with you in the ways you best express yourself. I will see your strengths and help you use them to heal yourself. We may end up using storytelling, role reversal, collage, journaling or improvisation or we may just talk. We may even laugh a little. While I will always take you seriously, sometimes getting a little perspective on a situation can bring a little levity.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Firstly, I love people. I love to witness a person's growth and "aha" moments. I love having the opportunity to demystify and de-stigmatize therapy. I have witnessed so much human resiliency and am humbled and inspired every time I meet with a person for therapy!
