My Approach to Helping
Long hours. Shifting priorities. Difficult personalities. Family demands. You want to feel fulfilled in life, but this isn’t what you signed up for. It’s all become too much. You’re exhausted. But you can’t slow down. People are relying on you. So you carry on, pushing down the feelings. You’ll deal with them some other time, you tell yourself. But that time never seems to come. You barely recognize who you’ve become. And yet, in the quiet moments, you yearn to reconnect with who you set out to be, to have a greater sense of identify and freedom, less isolation. You want to find the meaning and purpose of your life.
You can’t control everything, but it doesn’t mean you’re powerless. The feelings you’re experiencing can be a catalyst for growth and change. That’s where therapy comes in. Bring all your hopes, fears, regrets, strengths, and desires and discover the person you’re meant to be. It’s not always easy, sometimes it’s painful. But it’s worth it, and so are you.
If this is where you find yourself in life, I understand. I became a therapist after working for over 25 years in the corporate world. I look forward to walking this path with you. Call me at 323-697-3537.
