My Approach to Helping
A life lived more richly and authentically is possible no matter your past or present experiences. Trauma, depression, stress, and anxiety do not have to stop you from achieving a life filled with success, joy, and happiness. My aim is to facilitate growth and identify any hindrances holding you back. Working together, I can offer new coping strategies, feedback, and a listening ear. The focus of our therapeutic relationship is you and the goals you set.
My therapeutic approach is explorational and goal-oriented. This method centers on collaboration, change creation, and goal setting. I work with individual adults who may be: Having difficulty with change (relationships, family), experiencing anxiety or depression, living with trauma, and experiencing loss.
As a Black clinician with intersectional identities, I have firsthand knowledge of the roles race, culture, and gender play in who has access to therapy and how it’s provided. My commitment is to create a safe space and normalize therapy for everyone who has encountered marginalization due to identity. Let's take this journey together.
