My Approach to Helping
My hope for both you and me is to feel whole and connected, living fully and gratefully in the moment. This could manifest itself in many ways in your life. Communication with important people in your life feels authentic and from the heart. Medical conditions may be part of the whole but are not the whole. There is a flow to your life where you have a sense of movement and being on track. You are not stuck in the past or worried about the future. Stressors are part of the flow and not a road block.
Relaxation techniques often help to manage stress and provide a foundation for change. Mindfulness creates an important pause in our hectic lives to practice gentle awareness without judgment. Noticing and developing access to our inner resources creates a larger sense of wholeness. Our body wisdom is a resource to access. I believe that our mind and body are one and accessing the felt sense of the body is important to healing. There is a stronger sense of authenticity when we act from a larger self who is in touch with our many parts. And as we sense more wholeness in ourselves, there is more of us to connect and build relationships with others which increases out resources. My personal mindfulness practice helps me gain perspective and calmer clarity. I find this practice very helpful and enjoy sharing the practice with others. We have inner resources and wisdom there for the listening.
I listen to what you want and strive to help you get it. We work together to create the fulfilling life that you seek. Learn skills for lasting and meaningful change. Get unstuck.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
One issue that is close to my heart is helping people with health concerns. With my own health challenges, I continue to gather information and skills so that I feel better and live a fulfilling life. I enjoy sharing what I have learned. Mindfulness has become an important part of my healing journey. Understandably, because something specific helped me does not mean it will help you. I may not have your answers ready to hand to you but I can help you get them. We have to accept what is and live our best way, coping with day to day challenges and striving for something better. I feel rewarded when I can help someone navigate the challenges of health concerns.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I enjoy helping people find their path in life. We each know at some level what we need to do and sometimes need a little guidance or nudge to see it, to really sense it and know that that is it. The moment I see something click for someone is a magic moment. When someone knows at a deep level what to do and feels right about it, I feel privileged to have been part of that process.
My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist is not to give you my answers but to help you find your own answers. I am more a catalyst, a guide, coach and teacher of skills. I believe we all have the inner wisdom to know what feels right, what is healing, what path to follow. However, there are times we feel so stuck or overwhelmed that we need help to pause and access these resources. My role is to give you the tools you need to help yourself and find your own way.
