I believe that all people have the inner resources to solve their own problems; however there are times when a new and fresh perspective can be exactly what is needed, and talking with a therapist can help you see things from a completely different and sometimes unexpected point of view. My goal as your counselor is to help you improve your emotional well-being, gain an awareness of your strengths, and rediscover meaning and direction in your life.

Counseling isn't only for those dealing with mental illness, it is also for people faced with issues that many of us struggle with such as relationship problems, work related issues, low self-esteem, grief from the loss of a loved one, or a transition to a new phase in life. If you've been struggling or feeling stuck, I would be honored to work with you. Not only to help you through a difficult time, but in assisting you to clarify and create the life that you truly desire. You will find me easy to talk to, as my approach is warm and unassuming, but direct and honest.

More Info About My Practice

My fee is $75 for a 50 minute session. However, I believe that counseling should be available and accessible regardless of one's financial situation. I do hold reduced fee spaces for individuals who are committed to counseling, but have financial restrictions. Please let me know if this sounds like you and we can discuss the matter further.

I do not currently accept insurance, but I may be able to assist you requesting out of network benefits with your insurance provider by providing a receipt. I offer (but don't require) a 15-minute free initial phone consultation so you can get a better idea of our potential working relationship. If your needs require a different specialty or area of focus, I will provide resources to ensure that you have taken the first step on your journey.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I provide compassionate counseling to individuals with a broad range of life issues. My areas of specialization include chronic pain and illness, depression, anxiety, negative self-talk, interpersonal relationship issues, difficult life transitions, addiction and recovery, low self-esteem, and grief and loss.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Sometimes the message we receive from others is that reaching out for help is a seen as a weakness. I believe that having the courage to reach out for help is actually a strength. If you are experiencing a difficult life transition, working with a counselor can provide the support you need to help you move forward in a positive direction.
