My Approach to Helping
The comment I most often get from clients, especially men, is that they appreciate that I'm a "regular" guy. I think what they might be saying is that I'm relatable (as in I've made a lot of mistakes in life and survived to learn from them!) In my experience, we all have the answers on how to solve the issues or circumstances we are facing, but sometimes we don't know the right questions to ask. That's where I can help.
By creating a safe and sacred space, and using a variety of techniques and tools to help you, we'll examine how you're showing up in life and if its taking you where you want to go. Then we can explore strategies that are helping you and support them while unraveling patterns that no longer serve you.
As a systems based therapist this starts with an examination your family history to explore what beliefs you've inherited, followed by a number of experiential and cognitive techniques to explore how you see yourself in the world right now. Armed with this information we can then create an action plan to get you where you want to go.
Its the best part of my profession- to watch clients transition through difficult circumstances and as a result, see them living more fulfilling and authentic lives.
