My Approach to Helping
My approach to helping people focuses on working collaboratively to gain insight and awareness. We live in a fast-paced world and it is easy to just go through the motions on a daily basis. When that occurs, communication can break down and that can lead to damage to relationships. By learning to be aware of our thoughts and actions, we can be more mindful in our daily life. I primarily use a cognitive-behavioral model of therapy that addresses our thoughts and perceptions. If we learn to be more mindful then it nurtures healthy relationships. Also, I create a calm, safe and supportive space to express emotions and process.
