My Approach to Helping
Seeking therapy can be a difficult decision and finding the right therapist can be just as challenging. I like to tailor therapy to the needs of the individual by providing a comfortable and supportive environment that will allow clients to share their feelings, challenges, and hopes.
Christian therapy will be offered to those who request it, otherwise, I like to work with clients using an eclectic approach. Within my private practice, I am devoted to providing the highest standard of care, personalized attention, privacy, confidentiality, and comfort. It would be my pleasure to help you as you seek the happiness you deserve. I specialize in Trauma / Abuse Recovery, Relationship issues, Narcissistic Personality, and divorce recovery. My approach includes various modalities ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family therapy, Behavior Modification, Emotion-Focused Therapy and EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
My own personal trials and trauma, which were overcome through therapy, have helped me gain unconditional empathy and knowledge to help others through their journey of healing and self-fulfillment. I have a Christian worldview and often incorporate the Christian approach to help reach one's full potential.
More Info About My Practice
If you would like to find out whether I can help you, we can arrange a confidential complimentary phone consultation, with no obligation. I would be interested to hear about the challenges you are experiencing and answer any questions you have about my services.
In order to provide the highest level of confidentiality, I do not contract with insurance companies. Insurance companies require their contracted in-network providers to provide diagnoses and sensitive treatment information for periodic reviews. If you wish, you can submit the therapy statements I provide to you and seek reimbursement of "out-of-network benefits" from your insurance plan
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
The thought of therapy can be anxiety provoking especially talking about your very personal life. I have been in that place myself, in fact, I have been frustrated and discouraged by going to therapists where I didn't feel heard or understood or helped to heal deeper issues. I decided to be the therapist who hears and takes the time to truly understand the challenges and issues. I had a lifelong journey of being on the other side and now I take all that personal experience and years of post-graduate work, to help others get to the optimal place that they desire.
If you feel therapy could be helpful but you are not quite sure, I encourage you to take advantage of the complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
I believe it is essential to listen to yourself as you choose a therapist and make sure that the person you choose really resonates with you, speaks the truth and makes you feel seen and understood. I have heard from many clients about therapy relationships they stay in for a long time, even though they were deeply unfulfilled. I always want to work collaboratively with you, the client, to make sure we are staying on track and addressing your most important goals.
