My Approach to Helping
Lorna Wooten is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and adults seeking help with relationship issues, family conflict, anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorder (ADD), stress management, past trauma, and more. Lorna completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and her Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Counseling and Psychology at Troy State University. Lorna’s counseling style is warm, empathetic, nonjudgmental, and interactive. She treats her clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Lorna’s therapeutic approach combines cognitive behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, and reality-based therapy. She tailors each session and treatment plan to meet the client’s particular needs. Lorna will assist you with gaining insight, finding inner strength, and developing strategies necessary to make a change.
