My Approach to Helping

I specialize in treating teens, adults, and families who have been affected by trauma. I use a variety of modalities including neuropsychology, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Therapy. I treat a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. I also have experience working with individuals diagnosed with special needs and their family members as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
While I treat various forms of mental illness, my specialization is in treating individuals who suffer from symptoms of trauma. I focus on fostering mind-body balance through integrating practical skills with talk therapy and body based trauma work. I provide neuropsych education to help clients understand how trauma impacts the brain and nervous system.
Trauma can lead to overwhelming feelings of disconnect from your body, confusion, depression, and anxiety. Working with a specialist who is trained in navigating the complexity of trauma symptoms is key to successful therapy.

More Info About My Practice

For those who are seeking a more convenient approach to therapy, I provide video conference Telehealth. I use a HIPPA compliant program, similar to “FaceTime” or “Skype”, which ensures your confidentiality while providing the convenience of attending session from any location.

My Role as a Therapist

I use a humanistic style, rooted in unconditional positive regard for my clients and trust in their capacity to heal. I aim to create a safe place for self exploration, deep connection within the therapy relationship, and education around how the brain and body are impacted by trauma.
