My Approach to Therapy
People often come to therapy because something feels stuck: a relationship pattern keeps repeating, intimacy has become difficult, anxiety or depression is taking over, grief feels heavy, or life no longer feels as clear or fulfilling as it once did.
I work with individuals and couples who want more than short-term symptom relief. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Sex Therapist in San Diego, I help clients explore relationship challenges, sexual concerns, communication problems, desire differences, infidelity, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and major life transitions.
My approach is supportive, direct, sex-positive, and non-judgmental. I integrate sex therapy, couples therapy, somatic psychotherapy, existential-humanistic psychotherapy, positive psychology, and practical tools for meaningful change. My goal is to help clients create greater connection, authenticity, intimacy, meaning, and fulfillment in their lives and relationships.
My Practice & Services
I offer therapy in person in San Diego and online throughout California. I work with adults, couples, LGBTQIA+ clients, and people in diverse relationship structures, including polyamorous, consensually non-monogamous, and kink-oriented relationships.
I offer a brief introductory phone call before scheduling an initial consultation so you can ask a few questions and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Therapy can help create space to slow down, understand repeating patterns, and make more conscious choices in your life and relationships. Many people come to therapy because they feel anxious, depressed, disconnected, stuck, grieving, or uncertain about how to move forward.
In my work, therapy is not only about reducing symptoms. It is also about developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, intimacy, authenticity, meaning, and fulfillment. For individuals and couples, this often means learning how to relate to yourself, your body, your emotions, your sexuality, and the people you love in more honest and connected ways.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision. Training and experience matter, but so does feeling comfortable enough to speak honestly about what is really happening in your life, relationship, or intimate world.
I encourage prospective clients to look for a therapist who is thoughtful, direct, non-judgmental, and experienced with the concerns they are bringing in. For people seeking support with sexuality, intimacy, desire differences, sexless relationships, infidelity, or sexual compulsivity, it can be especially important to work with someone who has specialized training in sex therapy and is comfortable discussing these topics openly and respectfully.
