My Approach to Helping
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious or depressed? Do you want to learn coping skills to help you feel better? If you are looking for guidance on how to heal from unresolved past trauma or are facing current life struggles, therapy can help. I believe that we can build genuine rapport and build a theraputic relationship that will help you to change and grow. I believe that you are the expert of yourself and can learn to use your own inner and outer strengths to flourish to high pursuits. Working together, we can build a safe space to explore your thoughts, feeling and behaviors and help you reach your life goals.
A Cognitive-Behavioral approach to therapy allows me to help you explore your thoughts and fears that sometimes impact negative feelings or behavior patterns. I want to help you identify the areas of your life that need healing or growth and work on mastering effective coping skills. If you or your family are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, familial conflict, relationship and interpersonal issues, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns or work-life balance, I'd love to work with you.
I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) School of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology and Spanish at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Throughout my studies, I worked with children on the Autism spectrum, individuals who struggled with anxiety and depression, and worked in underserved communities. I have also enjoyed using my bilingual and multicultural skills while volunteering abroad by serving individuals and families of diverse backgrounds. I am licensed in Maryland as a LMSW.
