My Approach to Helping
I welcome anyone who is struggling and wants to put in the work to make changes in their life. There is no magic spell to fix life's problems but there is always a new way to approach situations and together we will find what works best for you. I incorporate a variety of different techniques depending on the person I'm working with and what fits best for their specific struggle and personality. No person is the same, therefore therapy will not look the same for everyone. Life is difficult and we could all use someone to help us through the rough patches. I'm here to provide compassion, support, and a listening ear. Together, I hope to help empower you to find your strengths and to work on your weaknesses.
My approach involves using the trust and understanding we build together to create personalized, attainable, and measurable goals. Each session I will challenge you to work towards achieving those goals but I will also give you the tools to do so. We will work together to achieve goals that will empower you to discover what strategies have been working, to determine which methods need to be abandoned and to practice using healthier approaches to dealing with life's problems.
