My Approach to Helping
I utilize a warm, empathic approach to form a strong therapeutic alliance and work collaboratively with patients. My style is eclectic; incorporating person centered perspectives with components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness training.
I specialize in the treatment of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders as well as acute psychological conditions, anxiety, and trauma. I combine formal training in psychotherapy and psychological assessment with over two decades of practical treatment experience within the full continuum of behavioral health services.
I am passionate about the work I do and maintain a strong commitment to helping others. Countless Americans suffer from mental health and emotional difficulties. It takes great strength and courage to focus on self-improvement. It is my belief that the treatment provided by professionals should be at the level that one would want for their own loved ones.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in the field of substance abuse and mental health for over 20 years. After completing a masters and doctoral level education, I held extensive roles as Clinical Director, Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Executive Officer of inpatient and outpatient treatment centers before returning to private practice. I will work to help you achieve health and happiness through confidential individualized and supportive psychological consultation.
