What's My Approach to Therapy?

I became a therapist because I’ve always been curious about people’s stories—what shapes them, what challenges them, and what helps them thrive. Over the years, I’ve learned that real change happens when therapy feels both safe and practical. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while also leaving each session with something useful to carry into your daily life.

Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and straightforward. I believe in using humor, creativity, and honesty to make the process feel less intimidating and more like a partnership. Therapy isn’t just a place to talk—it’s a space to experiment, grow, and discover new ways of moving forward.

Outside of my clinical work, creativity plays a big role in my life. I’m also a photographer, and I love capturing details and perspectives that often go unnoticed. Photography reminds me to slow down, pay attention, and appreciate the beauty in small things—values I naturally bring into my work with clients. Along with my creative side, I find grounding in nature, community, and everyday routines that keep me balanced.

At the heart of my practice is a belief in authenticity, humor, and connection. I strive to create a therapeutic space where you feel supported, seen, and challenged in ways that help you move closer to the life you want to live.

My Practice & Services

Root & Rise Clinical Specialists isn’t just another therapy practice—it’s where cutting-edge clinical expertise meets a deeply human touch. We’ve redefined what therapy can look like by creating a boutique experience that puts privacy, autonomy, and personalization first. Our team of highly trained specialists offers a full spectrum of care—from traditional therapy to innovative, integrative approaches—so clients can access exactly what they need, when they need it.

Working with Root & Rise means you’re not settling for cookie-cutter therapy or one-size-fits-all solutions. It’s a space where science, creativity, and compassion come together—where clients feel seen, heard, and truly supported in building lasting change. In short? It’s therapy, elevated.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am highly skilled in working with perfectionist creatives who often hold themselves to impossible standards while feeling misunderstood by others. Many of my clients are artists, entrepreneurs, writers, performers, and professionals whose drive for excellence can leave them feeling anxious, burnt out, or never ?enough.? In our work together, I create a space that both honors their creativity and challenges the perfectionism that holds them back. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my Stark Contrast? framework, and creative arts approaches to help clients reframe critical self-talk, manage overwhelm, and reconnect with their authentic voice. My approach is compassionate yet direct?I understand the unique pressures of high-performing, innovative individuals and tailor therapy to their strengths. The goal isn?t to lose their ambition or creativity, but to create balance, freedom, and confidence so they can thrive in both their work and personal lives.

Groups I Work With

I work with clients from all walks of life, but I especially enjoy supporting those who are often seen as “having it all together” while quietly struggling on the inside. Many of my clients are high-performing professionals, perfectionists, or those living with high-functioning anxiety and depression. I also work closely with creatives, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and highly successful entrepreneurs who may feel misunderstood, isolated, or disconnected despite outward success. My approach is both validating and practical—I provide a space where you can be fully seen and understood while also offering concrete tools to help you manage stress, quiet self-criticism, and align your life with your values. Together, we work to uncover patterns that no longer serve you, build healthier ways of coping, and create lasting changes that feel authentic and sustainable. Whether you’re navigating personal transitions, professional pressures, or identity exploration, my goal is to help you find balance, clarity, and a renewed sense of self.
