My Approach to Helping
Many of the great world religions and philosophies reach the same conclusion about life: Despite a world filled with beauty and wonder, life itself can become unsatisfactory, even horribly painful. The pain may appear suddenly (during life transitions, loss, or trauma) or it may take the form of ongoing daily struggles. There is no way out of suffering, but there are ways through it.
We cannot heal without connecting to other human beings. I offer the nonjudgmental, supportive, and confidential environment needed to connect with you, and begin developing effective coping strategies.
lI'll ask what you want to achieve through counseling. Maybe it's feeling less anxious, or sad, or depressed. Maybe it's being able to find or stay in healthy relationships, or being less angry, or figuring out why you feel unhappy. Maybe you need help moving through a difficult life transition or want to perform better at work or home.
It is a sign of strength and wisdom to ask for help when we need it. Congratulations on beginning that process by reading this!
