My Approach to Helping
Are you ready to uncover new ways of relating to yourself and others? Therapy can help you understand the fear and pain patterns that may be impeding your ability to live a happy and fulfilling life. I offer warm, compassionate therapy and seek to help you uncover new ways of thinking about --- and connecting with --- yourself and others.
I offer a comfortable and welcoming space free of judgment where you can enjoy the pleasures of self-discovery while also experimenting with new ways of interacting with others. As you work to better understand yourself, nurture your ability to manage challenging emotions, and discover your true self, you will naturally abandon unhealthy ways of thinking and relating. Although I primarily practice insight-based therapy, I also provide practical tools that can help to make more immediate life changes.
Consider asking yourself these questions: Do you like who you are? Do you feel confident? Does your life flow spontaneously from within, allowing you to feel you live life according to your own needs rather than someone else's expectations and needs? Do you know what you feel and think, or do you feel disconnected from yourself? Do you struggle to move forward in life?
Do you anticipate rejection in your relationships or do you anticipate love? With your partner, do you argue about the same things over and over again, feeling frustrated you're unable to resolve conflicts? Or do you avoid conflict altogether, preferring to say nothing about your feelings, only to find resentment cropping up later? Or perhaps you have you given up on relationships altogether and have withdrawn into a lonely isolation?
These are the issues we can explore together. I invite you to bring your whole self to therapy, including the frightened, rejected, angry, and sad parts, for in welcoming and embracing all parts of yourself, a more satisfying and fulfilling life may follow.
