My Approach to Helping

I offer PHONE THERAPY at an affordable rate and UNLIMITED EMAILTEXT between sessions. Listening closely and asking the questions that will open your mind to new ways of looking at yourself and your circumstances can be life-changing. I believe strongly in going at a pace that works for the individual, with frequent online check-ins and homework to keep you focused and progressing in the changes you want to make. We will develop a partnership in your personal growth journey. I am transparent, you will not have to guess at what I am thinking. I am practical - a 'do-what-it-takes' clinician. I have many therapeutic tools that I use, and particularly value and am influenced by Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, and Attachment Theories.

More Info About My Practice

I have had 14 years experience working with families and individuals, providing home-based counseling, case management and crisis intervention. I have been providing phone therapy and clinical consultation services by phone for 4 years. My client base has been diverse and, thus, given me an opportunity to see the world through the eyes of many types of cultures and life circumstances. I understand, also, the common human needs for a sense of self-worth and belonging, and for a meaningful life.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

I provide a half hour free phone talk. You will be able to ask me questions and can expect honest answers. And I will ask you questions to get an idea of what your concerns are and what your current circumstances and relationships are like. I will ask you to let me know if you feel comfortable enough to start phone therapy. You can tell me on the phone or by email or text.
Phone therapy is not for everyone. I happen to love it and feel I do my best work by phone and email where I can give deeper thought to our conversations and send these thoughts to you throughout the week. My clients love this part of the partnership. They can respond when they are able and willing.
I am very serious about our partnership. I celebrate when you disagree with me because it is so important that you are comfortable enough to be honest with me.
We can talk weekly or as frequently as you wish.
It takes a lot of courage to share your concerns and act on the decision to make changes in your life. During our partnership, you will know that you are not alone. I will be available to remind you that this life-changing journey is because you are worth it.
