My Approach to Helping
I work with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use problems, and various other concerns. I want to help you manage or overcome negative symptoms, increase your sense of hope, and navigate transitions, whether you are dealing with career changes, divorce, relationship issues, communication concerns, sexual identity, trauma, or loss. My goal is to help you discover your values and strengths to gain empowerment, so you are living the life you want to live.
I utilize cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, trauma focused, and emotion focused techniques to help my clients toward positive change. My goal is to provide support and help my clients reach their goals and promote what works best for them to increase meaning, joy, and hope.
Through my work in government, community, and healthcare settings I have gained significant experience working with diverse populations. I focus in the areas of relationships, communication, anxiety, trauma, sexual and gender identity development, cultural religious conflicts, and depression.
