My approach to therapy is to begin by creating a strong, healthy therapeutic relationship. Personal and relational goals are best reached when working within a healthy and safe therapeutic alliance. Within our work together, I aim to collaborate with you on your goals for treatment and work towards accomplishing them in a realistic time frame within a supportive therapy environment. I hope that, in the process of achieving your goals, you will learn about yourself in a manner that enhances your self worth, your relationships, and general well-being.

I also specialize in facilitating therapy groups. Group therapy may help you achieve your personal goals by: 1) Offering a space for support, understanding, validation, and accountability; 2) Encouraging practice of anxiety andor depression management skills; 3) Emphasizing honest, genuine communication; 4) Providing opportunity for interpersonal exploration and growth; 5) Encouraging the building of trusting relationships. The Creating a Resilient Life 6-week Workshop will be hosted by Azani Medical Spa and Dr. Lyz, licensed psychologist. Our workshop is interactive and supportive with emphasis on skill building, stress management, and resilience of body, mind, and spirit. Participants are encouraged to take an active role in making positive changes that will increase mindbody synergy and harmony in everyday life. Topics include reflection and planning, nurturing relationships, cherishing the body, and enhancing the mindbody connection.
