More Info About My Practice

Evening and weekend hours available. Schedule online today!

We work with individuals, couples, and families because the focus is on the experience of each person as well as the family, as a whole. We practice keeping a relational perspective since each member of the family has an influence.

We currently do not accept insurance but do work to make our rates affordable and close to what many would currently pay as a deductible. We work on a sliding scale based on financial need.

My Role as a Therapist

As a Family Therapist I am going to search the role of relationships in your life and how relationships contribute to your successes or challenges. I have a practical approach to therapy that allows us to take time to understand what's happening today but also work towards moving towards a happier tomorrow.

In addition to researching your history, I take into account what is currently happening around you and how it is affecting your life. I look at you in relation to those around you, since the challenges that bring you to therapy are oftentimes larger than just individual person. Let's work on ways to handle those challenges.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Therapy should be seen just like going to see your doctor for your annual check up. We all accept that we physically need check ups, so what's the why fear in getting our minds checked every now and again?

If you are still not sure therapy is right for you, let's try a proactive approach through a Mental Physical! Call us for details!

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Therapy is not an easy process. A good therapist is going to make you think and will take you out of your comfort zone. There will be pain, frustration, and even some tears. Because of this it's important you feel comfortable with your therapist and be open. Don't look for a "friend" but be comfortable. And ask questions! Be sure the therapist you choose is worthy of sharing this journey with you.
