My Approach to Helping
As a Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT), I have a sincere commitment to helping people achieve mental wellness by treating a broad range of difficulties including body image issues, women\'s issues, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, grief, substance abuse, and interpersonal and family relationship issues. My goal is to promote the overall mental wellness of individuals through support, encouragement, and challenge. In conjunction with providing individual therapy and couples marital therapy, I also lead group sessions focused on relationship issues, codependency, body image issues, and dialectical behavioral therapy skills.
I am extensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral therapy and offer an approach within DBT foundations; focusing on mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and distress tolerance skills. I also offer supervision services to registered mental health interns as I am a Qualified Supervisor through the state of Florida.
