My Approach to Helping
Life can be challenging - plain and simple. Sometimes our management of life's challenges work and sometimes don't. Regardless we create patterns of dealing with our stress and those patterns are complex and have associated emotions, fears, thoughts, and behaviors connected to them. These patterns begin in our childhood and are refined and shaped by our environment, emotions and time. Our relationships with significant others, family, and friends are a direct outward expression of these patterns in terms of feeling safe, secure and being our authentic self. Far too often our relationships are a reflection of our fears and emotions of protecting our self and avoiding vulnerability at all costs.
Learning to navigate this complexity of life's challenges and our individual patterns can be a daunting task. My role is to help you in this navigation and create an optimal state of healthy communication and boundaries in your life and relationships.

My Role as a Therapist
My role as a therapist is to join you in your journey of self-discovery. It's like you are creating a novel of your journey and your changes you will experience on that journey. I am not writing the novel for you and I am not telling you how to write it however, I am there with you as you write it helping you to become the best version of you, of the relationship, or of the family.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
You have the right to decide your care so choose a therapist that you find easy to talk to you, that you find hears you and validates you, and that you feel can empathize with you. Never feel like you can't give the therapist feedback on how they are doing. In fact it is essential.
