What's My Approach to Therapy?

For over a decade, I've helped individuals like you achieve positive change and more fulfilling lives. As an experienced, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I've owned my Private Practice focused on supporting adults navigating emotional challenges related to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma (relational & complex), some personality disorders, and chronic illness. I'm exceptionally skilled at helping adults wrestling with symptoms such as guilt, over-intellectualizing, rumination, perfectionism, shame, worry, personalization, dissociation, being numb, andor feeling stuck.

For those navigating more complex emotional experiences, such as healing from trauma, I utilize experiential therapy, which allows us to explore feelings in a safe and supportive way. I also incorporate Emotion-Focused Therapy and Coherence Therapy to help you process and understand your emotions on a deeper level.

Additionally, I offer canine-assisted therapy, which can provide comfort and companionship throughout our work together. Having a friendly therapy dog in the session often helps create a relaxed atmosphere, making it easier to open up and engage in the healing process.

Together, we’ll find the best approach to support you on your journey toward emotional well-being, growth, and peace of mind.

My Practice & Services

My experience extends beyond therapy. Before my career in social work, I spent roughly two decades as a nonprofit executive and consultant. Thus, I understand the interconnectedness of individuals and systems. This unique perspective allows me to provide you with a broader understanding of your challenges and the resources available to support your journey.

Whether you're starting your healing, actively growing, or maintaining progress, I'm equipped to support you every step of the way. My commitment includes educating the next generation; as a former adjunct professor at Temple University, I shared my knowledge with aspiring nonprofit leaders.

If you're ready to find peace of mind, build resilience, and create a more fulfilling life, I invite you to contact me for a free consultation. Together, we can calm the chaos and cultivate lasting inner peace.

My Therapy Focus

Through outpatient services, we will explore the most effective modalities to support your emotional health, growth, and overall well-being. Regardless of where you are in your journey, meaningful change is achievable.

Therapy Approach ? Modalities I Use to Support Your Growth

I tailor practical, evidence-based methods to your needs:

* CBTACT (Top-down): Helps you identify and change unhelpful thoughts and beliefs to reduce anxiety, depression, and stress.
*Metacognitive Therapy (Top-down): Focuses on recognizing and shifting unhelpful thinking patterns that fuel worry and rumination?often supported by body-based techniques.
*Affective Neuroscience Psychotherapy (Top-down & Bottom-up): Combines brain science and emotion work, using both cognitive and bodily approaches to improve emotional regulation and well-being.
*Skills for Life (Top-down): Focuses on developing daily skills like emotion regulation, problem-solving, and stress management.
*Interpersonal Therapy (Top-down & Bottom-up): Addresses relationship difficulties that affect mood. Learn practical skills for clearer communication, conflict resolution, and strengthening your support network.

For more profound, more embodied change, I incorporate evidence-based, "bottom-up" modalities:

*Parts Work: Addresses different parts of yourself to foster self-understanding and integration.
*Experiential Therapy: Uses body awareness to explore and process intense feelings, especially helpful with trauma.
*Emotion-Focused Therapy: Supports accessing and understanding emotions through bodily experience for acceptance and healing.
*Memory Reconsolidation: Reframes distressing memories at a neural level for lasting change.
