My Approach to Helping
I have provided mental health services to teenagers and adults for more than twenty years. I specialize in assisting people with anxiety, anger issues, depression, social isolation, academic challenges, relational issues, and career concerns.
My professional experience includes working with community mental health facilities, working as an instructor and supervisor at Phillips Graduate University in Los Angeles, and providing counseling for teenagers with learning issues. During this time, I have come to appreciate how a strengths-based approach may positively impact people in treatment. My counseling style is characterized by genuineness, acceptance, and respect.
Therapy allows people to work within a supportive framework that contributes to learning, healing, and personal growth. In addition to improved interpersonal relationships, many clients report more positive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Therapy may also help individuals to increase their self-confidence as they cope with the complexities and challenges of everyday life.
