My Approach to Helping

With over 16 years of experience counseling individuals in their time of need, I have had the privilege of seeing the benefit that can come from counseling in someone’s life during distressing times.

The most central ideas in my work are 1. People are doing the best that they can…but people can bring about change in their life. 2. With support, clients can develop skills necessary to address their concerns and solve their problems. 3.Change is constant and it is important to work within what is in your control.

More Info About My Practice

Time of Need Counseling is a group practice of Licensed Counselors, with training and experience in helping adult clients address grief, loss, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, work and school problems, and stress.

Our Counselors utilize a variety of ways to help clients realize the change they are wanting in their lives. One approach is through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT is a type of therapy that focuses on changing negative thought patterns and behaviors in order to improve mental health and well-being. In CBT, clients learn to identify negative self-talk and beliefs, and to replace them with more positive and accurate ones.

We are not specialists for people who are suicidal or have a history of self harm but do have providers in the community that we refer to for help with these concerns.
