My Approach to Helping
Therapy can be a unique experience. My goal is to make you feel at ease in this self-learning process.
Therefore, this is what you can expect at Unico awareness psychotherapy sessions:
Therapy will be like coming into a safe room where there is a beautiful mirror in the middle of the room. This mirror will reflect many emotions and thoughts. By the mirror reflecting these emotions and thoughts, you will be able to realize and decide if you like that reflection or if you want to either change or accept things about yourself or your life.
The mirror will be able to support this process by being there for you and coming up with ideas and plans to make that vision better or to change it completely. This mirror is the supportive therapist.
During the 1st session, the supportive therapist will go over the different consent forms and will conduct an intake questionnaire by which the therapist will gather your information to be able to better understand your needs. In the following sessions, the supportive therapist and you will create a plan to help you achieve your goals.
