My Approach to Helping
About Me
I knew at a very early age that I wanted to be in a helping profession. I find it truly amazing what people are capable of when given a nurturing environment and the right tools. I earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work and have worked in a variety of mental health settings serving diverse patient populations.
Through my years of clinical work I became very passionate about women’s health issues. I particularly enjoy helping those who are wanting to start a family, who are currently pregnant, and those who are postpartum and adjusting to parenthood.
My goal is to support you in whatever phase of life you are in and to provide you the tools to get through whatever challenges you may be facing. Outside of work, I am a mom and wife residing in Northern California. Therefore, I understand the challenges of balancing life’s many roles and hope to be able to help you find your own sense of balance.
My Approach to Individual Psychotherapy
Life is full of challenges, but you do not need to walk these paths alone. It can be scary to admit that you need help, and it can be a struggle to find the right person to guide you along this journey. I help both individuals and families by using a collaborative and holistic approach to create an environment that feels safe, nurturing, and supportive.
As your therapist, we will work together to identify patterns and behaviors that no longer serve a purpose in your life and to replace them with new ways of coping. I practice from a strengths-based approach in order to empower you to make the changes necessary to feel more fulfilled and at peace with your life. Through our work together you will find more joy, purpose, and clarity in your life.
