My Approach to Helping
Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted and frustrated about the way they are feeling. Things like depression, anxiety, and major life stressors can make it hard to manage our emotions and can impair our daily functioning. Therapy is a tool that can be extremely helpful to enhance our quality of life. My therapy clients often gain a better understanding of themselves, develop skills to improve their relationships with others, and learn strategies to cope with the uncomfortable emotions they experience. Clients also see me for psychological assessments to determine the reason for their struggles at home, school, or socially. I provide psychotherapy for individuals ages 12 through adulthood. I specialize in working with teenagers and young adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. I take a relatively direct, goal-oriented approach to therapy and utilize research-supported treatment techniques.
