My Approach to Helping
Do you struggle with unresolved issues that you feel afraid to address?
Are you afraid of facing past traumas, yet find the same patterns recurring?
I help my clients identify patterns that no longer work, teaching them self-compassion to facilitate lasting change. My empathy-based perspective teaches my clients to nurture themselves. I use tools such as cognitive restructuring, creative arts therapy, visualization, breath work, mindfulness, EFT tapping, and acupressure, to help my clients uncover their strengths and improve their lives.
In our sessions, we externalize your problems to help you gain new perspectives through talking, metaphor, art, and somatic psychology. By using the right side of the brain we are able to access more intuitive information and gain insight to a client's beliefs about themselves and their ability to heal. Creative arts therapy allows the right and left hemispheres of the brain to communicate and integrate together which helps to facilitate congruence in a client. Through this, clients can gain clarity around patterns and choices in their life they may be engaging in. Which can help pave the way for change.
