My Approach to Helping

I believe that healing and growth are always possible and strive to offer each person a hope-filled, compassionate and listening ear, while also encouraging you to examine and heal all areas of your life. My approach to counseling is integrative, and I draw from a variety of tools and techniques tailored to each individual person I work with. You may be feeling stuck in life; feeling depressed, anxious or struggling through relational issues. Your relationship with food may feel out of control and may be affecting your health, relationships and joy. Some clients seek counseling because they are feeling confused, hopeless or overwhelmed, or perhaps their marriage is in crisis. My goal in counseling is to provide a safe, confidential place for you to explore and examine your hurdles and strengths, and offer a new perspective in your journey towards healing. You are not alone!

My approach to counseling is grounded in considering the relationship between mind, body and soul. I draw from EMDR, attachment, and psychodynamic therapy, while also utilizing other tools and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family systems.

I am committed to helping you restore and live fully into who you are created to be and I would be honored to walk with you during this part of your story. I love living in the incredible city of Portland and have been married for eight years.
