My Approach to Helping
Caroline Byrd is a bilingual (English, Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) who serves adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, boundary issues, depression, relationship concerns, and self-esteem issues. Caroline cares about establishing a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and providing an affirming, safe space so clients can express themselves without fear of judgment.
Caroline received her Master's degree in Counseling with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Caroline gained professional experience helping individuals with anxiety, boundary issues, depression, griefloss, life transitions, negative self-talk, relationship issues, and trauma. Caroline also had the privilege of working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence and students during the Covid-19 pandemic. Caroline integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to help clients understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, learn to be present in the moment, and improve their relationship with themselves and with others.
Know that you do not have to sit alone with your pain and you are capable of change. If you feel ready to begin your counseling journey, Caroline invites you to schedule an appointment. Caroline looks forward to working with you and helping you accomplish your goals, one step at a time.
