Hello, I am Ameerah Ali M.A., LPC a licensed professional counselor and certified clinical trauma specialist providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents and adults. I have been in private practice for 15 years utilizing a variety of therapies including a holistic approach, an eclectic approach, trauma- focused cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy to assist my client’s in reaching their goals. I also currently hold additional certifications in trauma therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. I like to engage my client’s through experiential learning exercises and homework designed to promote self-awareness, positive self-development, and personal accountability. I believe therapy should be a collaborative approach between the therapist and the client as a team pursuing a path to wellness and peace. My goal is to empower my clients to move past victimization and mental obstruction to a more positive realm of human possibility by understanding their true purpose and goals in life.
