My Approach to Helping

Do you feel like your anxious thoughts have taken over your brain and that you have difficulty getting out of the spiral that the thoughts can take you down? Anxious feelings can present themselves not only in the brain but also in the body; an inability to sit down or relax, feeling like your reaction outweighs the situation at hand, and also a lack of confidence in yourself and your ability to make decisions. Anxiety can be a challenging thing to live with, especially if you feel like you don’t have the right tools to help quiet your body and mind and get to a place where you feel centered and calm. I work to meet clients where they are on their journey with anxiety with the initial goal to learn more about how it is impacting your life and provide a compassionate, non-judgmental, and warm environment in which to heal. You might feel as though you have difficulty managing your emotions, a sense of self-doubt that gets in the way of decision-making, or trouble setting clear boundaries in relationships with others. It could also be an awareness that you are engaging in the same patterns over and over again and aren’t sure how to make the necessary changes to break free from them.

Together, we can help you achieve a sense of ease in your daily life. Feeling calm, in control, and like you have the tools to help you get through your day from a place of strength is within your capability. If you are looking for a way to help quiet your mind, get clear on your values, and increase your sense of self-worth and ability to set clear boundaries, I would love to help you get there. I believe that the best support I can give to my clients is being warm and compassionate while also direct. Together, we can get to the root of what you are struggling to create long-lasting and effective change over time. We will work together from the bottom up by getting really clear on your values, setting new boundaries, and increasing the connection/relationship you have with yourself. I believe that the challenges, growth, and insight we gain throughout life tend to occur in relationships with others and also in our relationships with ourselves, and bring this way of thinking into my sessions with clients.
