I specifically help people work through challenges connected to narcissistic abuse: grief and loss, challenges with setting boundaries, connecting with your authentic self, individuation, and navigating forward with more healthy and loving relationships built on a foundation of respect, trust, kindness, and support. I will help you process what you're going through, explore unhelpful patterns, and help you learn how to set healthy boundaries as well as develop self-compassion. I provide a warm and welcoming space in which to explore the challenges you are having. We will work collaboratively as you identify the difficulties you are having. We'll also focus on your goals for therapy as well as ways to work on relational dynamics in your relationships that are helpful for you. I've been a therapist since 2005, though I've been a "helper" all my life. I have a variety of clinical experience ranging from: working with abused children in a residential facility, helping adults struggling with opiate addiction and recovery, treating adults with a wide range of presenting problems in a community mental health setting for 10 years, and have been in private practice since October 2018. My true passion is helping my clients heal from childhood trauma connected to ongoing challenges with their family of origin relationships (narcissistic abuse and emotional neglect) as well as helping them develop and strengthen healthy boundaries both for themselves and within relationships. I also help clients trying to heal from narcissistic relationships with current or former intimate partners as well as helping them navigate narcissistic dynamics in other "systems" in their life, such as the workplace.
